You are cordially invited to the Bluegrass Parkinson’s Alliance 11th Annual Gathering for the Good: Living Life to the Fullest with Parkinson’s Disease. The event will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023 starting at 9 am at the Embassy Suites, 1801 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY 40511.
For those new to BPA, The Gathering is our largest annual event and fundraiser. It is a half-day symposium full of education on Parkinson’s Disease, but also fellowship, fun and a lunch! As always, the event is completely FREE to members and care partners. I hope you mark your calendars and make plans to attend!

This year’s Gathering Keynote Speaker is Dr. Jason Crowell from Norton Neuroscience Institute in Louisville. Dr. Crowell is a neurologist and movement disorders specialist. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, completed a residency in neurology at the University of Virginia, and fellowship training in movement disorders at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
In addition, Dr. Crowell was a Grossman graduate fellow in health care policy at Harvard Kennedy School, where he received a master’s degree in public administration. Before starting at Norton, Dr. Crowell was a staff neurologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Crowell’s research includes drug pricing for neurologic conditions and deep brain stimulation.

Dr. Crowell spoke at our February 2023 Speaker Meeting and we knew instantly we wanted him to come back to speak again. We are very excited he agreed to be our 2023 Keynote Speaker!
